5-Day Doodling Challenge
Doodling means letting go of perfection (*Art for you to use in this post!)
In these last two weeks, we’ve been stung severely by frigid winter weather. It’s been the kind of event when you’re stuck inside for hours, with a sweater or blanket wrapped around you…and you’re STILL cold. But, what I like about the winter months, is the chance to slow down and enjoy a little extra drawing, doodling and writing.

Continuing my chat…
This week, I joined a five-day art doodling challenge by Anne Manera on Facebook (www.facebook.com/annemanerascoloringbooks ) Although I had missed the first day, I joined anyway, but with a little hesitancy.
Sometimes I can’t keep up with these challenge-type programs, but surely I can handle just a few days, right? LOL
Day #1 - was a pen
Day #2 - was our thumb
Day #3 - was our shoe
Day #4 - was a banana
Day #5 - Update: there was no prompt for this day. It was actually just 4 days.
What I like about Doodling…
Doodling is defined as “to scribble absentmindedly”.
It’s meant to be a quick sketch without much focus or aiming for perfection… it’s meant to be FuN!
If you’re someone like me, who gets too wrapped up with perfection in your projects, doodling is a GREAT practice to help yourself let go of perfection.
Usually when I draw, I take forever perfecting my art pieces; however, THIS week, I’ve aimed to limit my time and create my doodles as fast as possible and with just two different main colors.
Many people doodle with a simple black pen or pencil on paper, but truthfully, there are no rules for doodling. It’s meant to allow you the freedom to relax and have simple fun.
Doodling is a skill that’s great for journaling, scribbling while chatting on the phone, or adding a little personality and smile to your writing in your planner.
Here’s my doodles for this week…
NOTE: You're FREE save and use these for your own projects.
(I’ve down-sized them, but they’re pretty large @ 4000X4000.)
For our community, it’s your turn…
