This morning I read Hebrews Chapter 11. Two Bible verses that caught my eye in particular were Hebrews 11:6 & 7 KJV…
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
As we can see from Noah’s building of the ark… fear stirred a healthy motivation to take action. Not all fear is bad. A healthy fear of God should motivate us to live a Holy life, and one pleasing to God. We can avoid many devastating consequences of not following God’s will for our lives.
And without FAITH… we cannot please God. We cannot always understand what God is doing, but we can always trust that He knows best. Noah didn’t see the downpour of rain yet, but he knew to build the ark, by FAITH of God’s prompting.
Change of topic…
I did a doodle this week on my tablet… I’m a slow doodler, so I do little bits at a time in the evening before turning into bed for the night… and that’s why I have trouble dishing out new ones too often. haha.
This week I focused on the word NIGH… as you will see from the Bible verses below.
