Happy Friday!
It’s crustless pizza-in-a-pan day! I fry up my hamburger, add a little bit of minced onion, add Italian seasoning, garlic & salt. When it’s done, stir in some pizza sauce, top with your favorite toppings (could be olives, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, etc.), and finish off with mozzarella cheese. Cover and keep on very low heat until all the cheese is well-melted.
Let’s Chat about WISDOM…
In my high school years, I had a principal (he was also pastor there at the church), who taught often from the book of Proverbs during our chapel services. I became immensely interested in the topic of WISDOM because of his preaching and teaching from Proverbs. The book of Proverbs has been a long-time favorite of mine.
First, What is WISDOM?
You can have a head full of information and yet be quite foolish in your actions. But, with WISDOM, you know how to rightly use knowledge and good judgment. Proverbs 9:10 states “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” With WISDOM, we know there are consequences for our actions and decisions in life when we do not follow the Biblical principles that God has given to us.
This month, I’ve been working on editing some Wisdom journals and adding related Bible verses... In today’s post, I’m sharing with you THREE Bible verses on WISDOM.
#1
First, if you want to build a great home, it’s not about the beautiful structure outside and amenities inside. Those things are certainly blessings. (I enjoy viewing those along my drive…but my own house is not so beautiful. haha.) Without WISDOM, our home (family life) can become a pure disaster!
Proverbs 24:3 KJV says, “Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:”
#2
We see clearly that WISDOM has great value…. it’s worth investing your time and energy to obtain a great wealth of it.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” ~ Proverbs 4:7 KJV
#3
In James, we also see that God has a liberal amount of WISDOM to share with you…He’s not going to reprimand you for asking for more wisdom… He has plenty to offer and give!
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” ~ James 1:5 KJV
I want to challenge you to invest this year in seeking more WISDOM from God!
Have a wonderful weekend,
