Happy Leap Day!
The word leaping always reminds me of that invalid man, who was miraculously healed and started walking, leaping, and praising God. (Acts 3:8)
I can always imagine him leaping every time I read it. I’d be leaping too, without a doubt…. even if I hadn’t had my morning coffee yet! Haha!
Here’s a fun little song that will also make you want to leap around today!
In my Sunday school class last Sunday…
I taught about the four men who carried a palsied man to Jesus.
“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” - Mark 2:5 KJV
The Bible says that Jesus saw “their faith” (plural) - speaking of these four men. I imagine it can include the palsied man as well.
Three points to consider here:
They brought someone to Jesus. We should be active in bringing others to Jesus as well! (Mark 2:3)
They did what was necessary to get him to Jesus. From this story, we know there was an obstacle in getting this palsied man to Jesus. There was such a large crowd, that they decided to climb to the roof to let him down. It must have taken some time and work to do that! (Mark 2:4)
They believed that Jesus could heal him. (Mark 2:5) Our faith inspires us to take action!
While I was teaching, I had this random thought come to my mind…
What if there were only 2 men? Would the job not have been twice as difficult to drag him to where Jesus was? Twice as hard to get him on top of that roof? And more difficult to let him down?
You see, each one of us should have a part in helping to bring others to Jesus. And each one of us should look for opportunities at church to help in various areas.
Don’t just say after an event, “Well, enough people are cleaning up in that kitchen already… they don’t need my help!”
EACH hand makes the workload lighter and easier…and less time-consuming. “Many hands make light work,” as the saying goes.
Your hands do count! YOU matter! Even if it’s just cleaning a toilet at church or picking up a piece of trash! God sees behind the scenes in all that we do for the Lord Jesus.
Keep walking in faith,

I follow a Bible journaling group on Facebook. There was a lady, Luella Hobson, who shared photos of her journal book creations. They were so inspiring to me, that I wrote to her and asked her permission to share the photos with you…and thankfully, she was kind enough to say, “Yes.”
What a blessing to share these with you. Hoping you get some inspiration from Luella’s designs.
Note: Luella said, “Make sure it’s a composition book. There is a seam down the middle. Otherwise, pages fall out.”
