My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon, Friend,
I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far. I see God’s blessings every single day… With an intentional eye, we will be able to spot those little blessings in abundance…
Sometimes it’s just a hot shower and realizing some people have no choice but to get a freezing cold one , or the fridge that keeps your food cold or a simple word of encouragement from someone.
We also need to have a sense of humor to not get easily weighed down in life… Didn’t God have a sense of humor when He caused a donkey to talk? Ha!
II Timothy 2:3 (kjv) says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
There are LOTS of hard days for us to endure…. But let’s continue on for the sake of Jesus — just as a soldier who might grow weary from the battle and yet keep his eye focused on the important goal at stake.
Can you take another step forward, for the sake of Jesus?
Keep walking in faith,
Rhonda White

7 Journal Jots: (Use these ideas for your own journal or ministry)
“Prayer is not the least you can do but the most you can do.” - Not sure who is the original author of this quote, but my friend, Sheila, recently shared this quote with me, and it encouraged my heart.
"Don’t let the wrong actions and attitude of others cause you to have wrong actions and attitude.” - Refreshing Daily in god’s Word, July 2021
“He (GOD) is the most powerful instrument of change in the world. He can change a heart, an opinion, a point of view, a life, a direction, a world! We are most influential as we stand aside and allow the Holy Spirit to convince God to bring a person to truth. He is patient. He is love. He is kind. He knows the way to change a person. Let’s work with Him, not against Him.” - Molly Audiss, Christian Womanhood (*My note: See Proverbs 21:1)
SUPPLICATION: the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly. “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Ephesians 6:18 (*My note: Just a reminder for us to keep praying earnestly for our brothers and sisters in Christ.)
“David had primarily gotten caught up in Israel’s might rather than God’s might.” (*See I Chronicles 21) - Refreshing Daily in God’s Word, July 2021 (*My note: Part of our frustrations in life is due to solely relying on our own strength and resources.)
“When a people have no spiritual leadership, at best they do nothing, at worst they go back to their sinful ways.” - Refreshing Daily in God’s Word, July 2021 (*My note: Let’s work on being a spiritual leader. There is always someone watching us.)
*QUESTION: Are you a good example to others, especially the younger generation? In what ways have you excelled in this area? (Be the right example so that someday you won’t be asking yourself, “Why did I fail to be the right example?”)
