My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon,
My brain is a dry desert this week. In simplified terms, that means, “I’m lacking the motivation to write or create.” Glancing back at what I’ve written so far? One sentence and one Bible verse. sigh.
I don’t mind sharing these personal struggles with you because it’s never been my intention to pretend that I always have my act together. I don’t.
So, what’s the next best thing to do?
Stir up my senses with a good, swift kick!
I’m in the midst of making garlic pasta. Haha! That’s our favorite meal (hubby and mine as well). We LOVE the pungent, spicy flavor of garlic. (Our breath afterward, not so much. LOL)
The original recipe calls for 3 cloves of garlic — and I daringly use a WHOLE head of garlic.
If I put less than that, my hubby wants to know where all the garlic flavor went. “Did you change the recipe?” Haha! (No worries! We’re both on the same page because I absolutely love a huge load of garlic flavor as well.)
By making our favorite recipe today, I’m hoping to spring back to life my wilted imagination and creativity. I’m already anticipating that first bite!
I don’t think I mentioned here on Create With Me the recent death of my brother, but I wanted to share something wonderful about God’s timing and sufficient grace…
My brother had given my mother a necklace for her birthday “early” this year. It was a “mom” necklace. Sadly, on her birthday, she received the heartbreaking news that he had died. On his funeral day last weekend, she wore that shiny silver “MOM” necklace.
It was certainly a bittersweet thing…but I explicitly saw God’s hand in it. He ALWAYS knows just what’s around the corner — and always mercifully prepares in some way to carry us through. A touch of loving grace.
Thankfully, God doesn’t slumber on the job, as I’ve done at times. Ha! He is always dependable...always good…and always there for us during the trials of life.

Adorable DIY Button Necklaces
Aren’t these adorable?! I’ve seen jars of buttons at thrift stores and garage sales. Also, look at clearance racks at thrift stores for any coats or older dresses that may display pretty & unique buttons. Some of those older buttons are made very well.

*QUESTION: God LOVES righteousness, do you? [Righteousness: to be on the level, to be morally & legally just. Refreshing Daily in God’s Word, Feb. 2022]
There are blessings that come with living righteously…
Psalm 11:7 (KJV) says, “For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.”
Matthew 5:6 (KJV) says, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
