My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
The weather is warmer. I’m loving the possibility of spring popping in soon, and yet, kind of dreading that hot summer weather that is to come. Mixed emotions here. Are you like that?
Last week, I made the decision to permanently bring my weekly ramblings to this new platform here at Substack. I sort of made a mess in my transition. I don’t think many of my subscribers from my devotional blog, herChristianhome, really knew what to think? LOL
The fact is, I wanted a place where I could have all my content nicely archived for new subscribers to be able to browse. Each week, I would send out a long email, and then my content would be lost in cyber space forever afterwards.
So far, I love writing here at Substack. It keeps me from getting too fussy with my content. You’re sort of limited on formatting, especially for photo positioning, and I don’t see any features to create colored text.
This is great! It helps me keep things simple.
Also, I’ve created the opportunity to chat about some of my passions to spark my own creativity and hopefully inspire yours.
I’m NOT, in reality, a crafty person, by the way… wait until you see this Friday’s mini newsletter post, and you will see exactly what I mean. Ha! ha! But, I hope that it will inspire SIMPLICITY!
Over all, the changes I’ve made to write in little spurts at a time, have improved my focus and balance in life. I also changed my devotional publishing to Thursdays, and this has helped me tremendously for these last two weeks.
*Side note: I have tomorrow’s writing practically ready for my devotional blog, I just need to do some final editing and putting text on the featured image.
A word of encouragement: Whatever projects you might be overwhelmed with, see if there is a way that you can break them down into chewable bite-sized pieces to conquer. (That’s how we eat an elephant, as they say.)
We’re all made differently in our abilities and weaknesses. Don’t be afraid to try new things!
In all that we do, may we keep our main focus on glorifying God.
Keep Walking in FAITH,
Rhonda White, CWM

7 Journal Jots: (Use these ideas for your own journal or ministry)
“You got to go work to dig for the riches of God.” - Pastor Jim McCullough (#goals Read your Bible with care, seeking for the golden nuggets God has for you each day.)
“The closest you can get to GOD is through prayer.” (One of my favorite quotes in my journal!)
“Leave the way people think between them and God, and just treat them right.” - Christian Womanhood Magazine (It can be so frustrating dealing with some people. Sometimes they’re full of nonsense…but work on allowing God to deal with that, and just treat them the way you would want to be treated. I also love that quote, “What people think of me is none of my business.” Ha! ha1)
“Nothing changes the pain, but I have chosen to trust Him instead of running from Him.” - Stephanie Alcorn (None of us can avoid painful hurts and trials in our life. Trusting GOD is ALWAYS the right choice to move forward and heal!)
Successful people are people who have established good habits. (What is it you want to be successful at? Try changing just one little habit at a time that will help you achieve your goals better.)
Perseverance: Life isn’t one big long race, but many short races. (You and I have big hurdles in life, small hurdles, little victories, big victories. They are all a part of our story. Keep going, don’t quit!!! Don’t quit, keep going!!!)
*QUESTION: Do you see lions in the way?
Proverbs 22:13 says, “The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.”
It’s easy to fall prey to the word “can’t,” which sometimes should be really stated as “won’t.”
Love that you use KJV! God’s only truly preserved words!
