My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon, Friend,
Well, I’m happy to report to you that GOD is still in the business of answering prayer. He always has been and will NEVER change!
I had been praying specifically that my hubby would be able to attend our revival this week and that a day shift would become available for him.
Not a minute late — on Monday before supper, my hubby got word that he could leave work at any time and come back the next morning for a day shift that had opened up!
Praise the Lord, my hubby has not had to miss one single day of our revival.
Now, I can’t take credit for this answer to prayer… I had family and friends and you all praying.
Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
I know things don’t always turn out just like we want, and those are the times we have to still trust GOD that He knows best and that His timing is always perfect….and He knows what is best for us.
But, please don’t hesitate to ask your Heavenly Father for those desires of your heart, as long as they align with God’s biblical principles. AND, ask others to pray with you.
Change of topic…
Mother’s Day is coming up soon. I worked some more this morning on our Mother’s Day event pamphlet for our church. Our theme is going to be Flame-ingo.
I had fun researching some fun things about flamingos…
I read that “Flamingos eat shrimp, snails, and algae. The foods’ chemical, the carotenoid pigment, is what turns a flamingo’s feathers pink. The more they consume the chemical, the stronger the color of their feathers.”
AND, “If a flamingo stops consuming the carotenoid pigment through its food, it loses its color and can turn white. So the saying you are what you eat is just perfect for flamingos!”
Did you know that we could think about this from a spiritual perspective as well?
The more we feast on GOD’S Word, the more spiritual we’ll become… I do believe even our appearance will reflect outwardly from what’s been filling our hearts inwardly. Have you ever seen a stranger while traveling, and you just knew in your heart that they were a Christian?
Keep walking in faith,
Rhonda White

7 Journal Jots: (Use these ideas for your own journal or ministry)
God NEVER turns down a seeking heart.
To have COMPASSION means to be concerned.
Many people want what GOD has, but do not want to give what they have.
Cut some trees down from your past and move on. Some of those old dead trees are dangerous!
Don’t forget: JESUS is the BEST friend you’ll ever have! (Sometimes we just need to be reminded!)

QUESTION: Is the destination worth the journey? The right path is ALWAYS worth it. God’s will is ALWAYS worth it. The wrong path ALWAYS cost more than you expected to pay in consequences.
