My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon,
It feels good to be at my desk punching the keyboard again. Words, doodling, and designing…. I thrive on it. :D
I had a young person text me earlier today, saying, “I don’t know what I want to do in life. But I feel like I will regret it someday not doing what it is that I wanted to do.”
Some of my response is the following…
When we start to compare ourselves to what others seem to be doing, we can become dissatisfied and feel like we’re missing out.
(Side note: I think Hollywood movies can also stir up this feeling that life must be so exciting out there, compared to our own lives.)
Our biggest regret someday will be when we stand before God and wished we had served Him more in the ministry and given Him more of our time.
God is drawing you to Him and you will never feel satisfied or fulfilled until you’ve given your life fully to Him.
David said in Psalm 17:15b, “I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness.”
So, in other words, we’ll feel dissatisfied until we become more like Him.
How do you do that? By seeking and building a relationship with God. Read His love letter more. Listen to God’s message at church and not let ourselves daydream. Just be faithful in the things of God and He will slowly and surely reveal His will for your life.
God has not given up on you, nor me! May I encourage you, readers, to strive in being faithful to God?! We will NEVER regret living for God!
Keep walking in faith,
Rhonda White

QUESTION: How well do you handle confrontation? One thing to remember is that we don’t always have to have the last word. We don’t always have to prove we are right.
