My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon, Friend,
Yesterday evening I had to pull my winter pajamas back out of storage. Ha! ha! I was for sure that I was done with them until next winter. LOL
This just reminds me that we can never predict tomorrow. (Review Proverbs 27:1)
As you know, we’re indeed living in unpredictable times more than ever…times in which we are shocked at what’s going on around us, and yet…
Our GOD is NEVER clueless or surprised!!
In Psalm 147:4, David says about God that, “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.”
If GOD is aware of the number of stars, you can be assured that He is ever aware of every detail of our present world.
If GOD has named every star, you can be assured, He knows YOUR name!
GOD is our HOPE today and always!
Speaking of stars…. They will fall someday…and then comes our blessed HOPE!
“And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” Mark 13:25,26
Let’s rejoice together and encourage each other as we see this victorious day approaching.
It’s biblical to comfort one another with these words. (Review I Thessalonians 4:16-18)
Each one of us can be a spiritual mentor and encouragement to someone else. Let’s embrace those opportunities!
Keep walking in faith,
Rhonda White

7 Journal Jots: (Use these ideas for your own journal or ministry)
Start your day off right, sitting at the feet of Jesus. Be a Mary, and not a Martha who was worried over tasks that needed to be done.
“To me, PRAYER is the most powerful of weapons in the Christian arsenal, and is often the least of the last used in strife, turmoil and trouble.” - Dr. Tim Green (Prayer should be our first resort, not our last!)
“GOSSIP dies when it hits a wise person’s ears.” - jotted down from a random social media post (Don’t repeat, I repeat — Don’t repeat hearsay.")
“There is no true meaning and purpose to life apart from God’s presence.” - From my dad’s morning group post. (Stay close to God and you’ll have a meaningful, joyful life.)
“Let us pray for ourselves that we may not lose the word ‘concern’ for those who have never known Jesus Christ and redeeming love, for moral forces everywhere, for our national leaders. Let prayer be our passion. Let prayer be our practice.” - General Robert E. Lee (1807-1870)
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” - Quaker saying
*QUESTION: What advice would you give your younger self? (Include a Scripture verse to back it up.)
