Seven Journaling Jots to Inspire You #Week 18
Let Go of Clutter -- Decision Making Checklist Printable
My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon, Friend,
Last week I went to help my mother with a garage sale. You know what? It sure did inspire me to keep decluttering my own stuff at home.
I know my mom feels a bit overwhelmed right now in dealing with all their years of accumulating stuff. (They are planning to downsize after they sell their current house.)
We all tend to have some type of clutter in our lives which weighs us down, even though we may not consciously realize it or think about it.
A few areas that get overly cluttered and weigh us down mentally, emotionally and physically…
Our computer / digital files
Our papers / recipes / books / notebooks / photos
Our to-do lists that have been overtaxed to the max
Our fridge, freezer, food storage
Our clothes, shoes and accessories
Our mental and emotional things we’re holding on to.
Our kitchen counters
Our products (cleaning, beauty, supplies, etc.)
Our weeds / seeds / flowers / gardening / gardening tools
Our saying too many “yeses” when we’re already overextended on time compacity.
I Corinthians 14:33a says, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…”
In our own lives, do we have chaos and confusion?
Does our home life offer us peace and a restful shelter?
Are we overwhelmed with clutter and overexerted to-dos?
These questions are just some “food for thought” for the day. We ALL have a tendency to let things pile up, especially when life gets hectic with trials and events…
However, taking time to sit down and create a plan to declutter our lives can help us get back on track and help us feel healthier emotionally and mentally.
Get creative today! Create a plan of attack on whatever area in your life needs decluttering or organized.

7 Journal Jots: (Use these ideas for your own journal or ministry)
“Kindness is a gentle way of breaking a hard heart.” - Refreshing Daily in God’s Word
ENCOURAGEMENT: Love, kindness thoughtfulness, and encouraging words go a long way.
“Houses are built by hands, homes are built by hearts.” - source unknown
“Remember, if you laugh at your troubles, you will always have enough to laugh at.” - RDIGW
“Integrity gives you real freedom because you have nothing to fear since you have nothing to hide.” - Zig Ziglar
“A humble person will accept correction in order to live by truth.” - Loretta Walker
QUESTION: What are some of your strengths?
“Your individuality makes you special. Don’t desire to be a hammer if God wants you to be a saw! Submission to what God designed you to be is the attitude of a tool. A tool has no will of its own, but that of the master builder. Effectiveness is the result of allowing God to use us as He so chooses. It is wise to stay in the tool box until He chooses to use you. I don’t think the four stones in David’s bag were jealous of the one that slew the giant.” - Dr. Guy Goodell
