Good afternoon, Friend,
Today marks my one year of going dye-free on my hair. It’s been an emotional journey of ups and downs as I slowly see the changes and peer into the mirror and still scare myself at times when I’ve forgotten that I’m no longer a dark brunette. LOL
I’ve enjoyed the “letting go” of expectations and the “freedom” of not coloring my hair, but it’s still taken some “stick-to-it-ness” to make it through. Well, mostly it’s been very trying of my patience. It wanted it to be done and over with NOW.
In life we do not see results of our goals, nor make changes in life without some patience and frustration along the way.
Even our spiritual life can be filled with emotional ups and downs. I fall off the bandwagon at times…I fail to persevere as I should. I may get a bit discouraged. I may get extremely impatient with myself in my own failures.
Thank the Lord for His continual mercy and patience with you and I when we experience failures and at times a slow progress.
Slowly, but surely, we will begin to see results and spiritual growth when we hang in there and persevere.
Proverbs 24:6 (kjv) says, “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”
Galatians 6:9 (kjv) says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
