My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon, Friend,
How has your week been? For some reason, I’ve been stuck in some sort of slump for the last few days. With my hubby having an entirely different work shift, I still feel off balance. Sadly, I haven’t been that productive.
So, here I sit, crunching on some fried pork skins. (I haven’t had any of these in years!) Boy, do I love the crunch! This helps the quiet hours not be so quiet. Ha! ha!
Anita Wiley attempted to uplift me up with her SPAM email, it began…
“They’re called the “golden years” — and they should be. There’s nothing more precious than the gift of time to spend with family and friends and to dedicate to hobbies and other activities!
Anita must be a nice lady…she really tried to cheer me up. She continued on with her message…
“You’re more-than-likely eligible for Medicare benefits upon turning 65.”
I hate to disappoint Anita, but I have another 12 years to go before I’ll turn 65.
But, she is right about one thing… these are indeed our golden years while we’re living. It doesn’t matter what age you and I are — each day we are presented with a precious gift of time.
Psalm 90:12 kjv says, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
So today, let you and I both consider the time that we’ve been given, and use it wisely. And use it in a way that will glorify our Heavenly Father.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” - I Corinthians 10:31 kjv
Keep walking in faith,

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” - Psalm 51:10 kjv

*QUESTION: If I die today, are there any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that need rekindling, or three words needing to be said?
