My weekly personal note:
(Skip down to the weekly journal jots if you prefer.)
Good afternoon, Friend,
What’s on your plate this week that has you feeling a little anxious? Anything?
Truthfully, it’s hard to get through a week without facing something that may be a bit of a challenge.
One important thing to remember is that we NEVER do our BEST work when squeezing in last minute projects. (Something I used to try to teach my sons when raising them, but not sure they listened very well. Haha!)
If you wait until the last minute to finally do something, it’s going to be a fast, put-together finished project, and not your very best work.
Take time to plan way ahead for bigger projects, so that you can break them down into sizable, achievable (almost stress-free) chunks….and you can do a much better job.
Side note: I have a FREE printable planner page for personal goals at the bottom of today’s post.
Sometimes, LIFE happens… you can be the best planner, and still yet those roadblocks or interferences with your schedule or project planning may prevent you from getting things done in a timely manner. Or, finished with your best ability.
Fretting and worrying only adds to the mix of emotions, and often causes us to rush through and make more errors.
Try taking a few moments of quiet time to pray, ask God for help, and take a few deep breaths. Yes, among the rush and hurry, sometimes we need to put ourselves in the time-out chair!
I Peter 5:7 (kjv) says, “Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you.”
These stressful cares and worries are not usually something we will fret about five or ten years from now, let alone remember.
Realize God CARES for you. You may know He loves you, but don’t forget that He truly CARES about your daily life too.
Just ponder that for a moment… God is concerned with your needs, your welfare, your busy schedule, your health, etc. He truly cares for YOU!
So, when you’re feeling a little anxious, chat with the ONE who really does cares. (I can chat all I want to my dog, Zoey, about the woes of life, but she doesn’t really care. LOL!) However, God will always listen; He cares, and He’s more than willing to help.
Trust His Word! Claim I Peter 5:7 today!
Keep walking in faith,
Rhonda White

*QUESTION: What is something you have been putting off? Create an action plan with small achievable goals to take baby steps toward completing that project. Then, set a date to do that first baby-step goal. Often, getting the ball rolling is enough motivation to complete it.
