Some food for thought…
As I was reading my Bible yesterday morning, I came across John 8:31 which says, “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;”
Jesus was speaking to Jews who had newly believed in Him after hearing His words. (John 8:28-30) Jesus encouraged them to continue in His Word; if they did so, they were indeed His disciples.
As a new Christian, one can initially be enthusiastic about attending church, reading the Bible, and praying.
As time passes, we might lose that eagerness. The distractions of life may draw us away from the importance of “continuing” to read and follow God’s Word.
Today, let me challenge you to CONTINUE on…
Let’s be true, loyal disciples of Jesus!
